What Is This Session

Most people stop learning AI once it stops feeling magic. They settle into a few comfortable use cases like drafting emails, summarising documents, the odd brainstorm, and the genuine productivity gains never arrive. The tool sits there, capable of far more, while your team uses ten percent of it.

This session is for the people who've moved past the basics and want to take their AI use somewhere serious. In two hours, we move beyond single prompts and quick wins into the techniques that turn AI from a useful assistant into a genuine multiplier of your team's work. It's vendor agnostic, which means we focus on the principles that apply across Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or whatever your team is using.

By the end, your team will know how to get AI doing the work that actually matters, not just the work that's easy to delegate.

Where most people plateau

A look at the patterns we see in nearly every business: the same handful of use cases, the same average outputs, the same quiet sense that AI should be doing more. Naming the plateau is the first step to moving past it.

Advanced Prompting

Beyond the basics: structuring complex prompts, providing context that actually changes the output, using examples to set quality, and the techniques that separate generic AI output from work you'd happily put your name to.

Working with AI across longer tasks

Most people use AI for single questions. The real value comes from using it across multi-step work like research, analysis, drafting, refining, reviewing. We work through how to structure AI into actual workflows rather than one-off requests.

Building reusable assets

The prompts, templates, and approaches your team will use repeatedly. We help your people start building a personal library of AI assets that compound in value over time, rather than starting from scratch every time.

Knowing when not to use AI

The judgement piece. Where AI helps, where it actively hurts the quality of work, and the questions to ask before reaching for it. Intermediate users need this more than beginners do, because they're using AI for higher-stakes work.

What You'll Walk Away With

Clear Understanding

A clear view of where your current Copilot usage has gaps, and how to close them

Live Session

A 3-hour live session delivered virtually or in-person, designed for active participation rather than passive listening.

Working Custom Assistant or Agent

A working custom assistant or agent, built during the session, that the team can use immediately

Prompt Library Templates

A prompt library template to capture and share the best prompts across the team

Who Is This For

People and teams already using AI day to day who suspect they're not getting full value from it. This isn't an introduction though  attendees should be comfortable opening an AI tool, writing a prompt, and using the output.

It works particularly well for marketing, sales, operations, and professional services teams whose work is heavily reliant on writing, research, analysis, or creative output. It also works well as a follow-on session for businesses that have already run AI Fundamentals training and want to deepen capability.

What's Included

Pre-session preparation and tailoring

Sessions are tailored to your business and the tools your team uses. Examples and exercises are drawn from your actual work, which is especially important at this level — generic exercises won't stretch people who already know the basics.

Live Session

A single 3-hour live session delivered virtually, designed for active participation rather than passive listening.

Follow Up Q&A Session

Recommended approximately two weeks after the second run to further cement the training and assist with adoption.

Support Materials

Provided post-session. These include the prompt library and agent builder reference guide

FAQs

How is this different from your AI Fundamentals course?

Fundamentals is for teams that need a shared baseline, including people who've never opened an AI tool. This session assumes everyone in the room is already using AI regularly and wants to get meaningfully more from it. Different starting point, different outcome.

Do attendees need to be using a specific AI tool?

No. The session is deliberately vendor agnostic. The techniques apply across Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and any major AI tool your team is likely to use. If your business uses a mix of tools, or you want your team to think clearly across all of them, that's exactly who this is built for.

What level of AI experience do attendees need?

If your team uses AI most weeks for real work, like writing, summarising, researching, analysing then they're ready. If some of them are still finding their feet, AI Fundamentals is the better starting point.

Will this be too basic for our power users?

We hear this concern often, and often find that most self-described power users are doing a few things well and missing a lot. The session is designed to stretch people who already feel competent, with techniques most people don't pick up on their own. If your team genuinely is at expert level, we can scope a custom advanced session instead.

Can the session be tailored to a specific team or function?

Yes, and we'd recommend it. A version focused on marketing teams will look different from one focused on operations or professional services. The pre-session preparation includes shaping the examples and exercises around your team's actual work.

Is the session recorded?

Yes. The recording is shared afterwards so anyone who couldn't attend live can watch it back. The follow-up Q&A is also recorded.

How many people can attend?

There's no fixed cap, though the session works best with groups where active participation is realistic, typically up to around 50 attendees. For larger groups we'd recommend discussing format on the discovery call.

Will this cover safe and responsible use?

We touch on it where relevant, particularly around what intermediate users are now doing with AI that beginners aren't, like longer documents, more sensitive content, and more complex workflows. If you need dedicated guidance on AI policy, governance, or data privacy, we run separate sessions for that.

Do you sell software or take vendor commissions?

No. The AI Standard takes no commissions from any AI vendor and sells no software. The training and advice your team receives is independent of any platform. Most AI training in the market is delivered by partners with a commercial interest in pushing one specific tool, we aren't.

How much does it cost?

£2,400 plus VAT covers the pre-session preparation, the 2-hour live session, the follow-up Q&A, and all support materials. Pricing is fixed regardless of attendee numbers.

How quickly can we book?

Sessions are typically scheduled three to four weeks out to allow for proper preparation and tailoring. Faster delivery is possible if needed.
